0:23.4	and is expected to withdraw the remaining 3,500 U.S. military personnel from Afghanistan,
0:29.4	with 7,000 NATO soldiers following suit.
0:33.1	I believe that our presence in Afghanistan should be focused on the reason we went in the first place
0:38.0	to ensure Afghanistan would not be used as a base from which to attack our homeland again.
0:43.2	We did that. We accomplished that objective.
0:47.1	Pretty bold statement coming from Biden, considering the U.S. has completely failed the main
0:52.1	objective they've been telling us for two decades,
1:01.6	justified endless fighting in Afghanistan, driving the Taliban from power. The deadline Biden gave for the full withdrawal is the 20-year anniversary of 9-11, the same event the U.S. Empire used
1:07.2	to justify its criminal invasion and subsequent 20-year occupation of the country.
1:12.5	This seems like political theater for the White House to celebrate its great fake victory.
1:17.7	But funny enough, retreating on 9-11 seems like much more of a propaganda victory for the
1:23.1	resistance in Afghanistan. After 20 long years, it's pretty hard to believe this is really coming to an end,
1:31.4	especially given the empty rhetoric and unfulfilled promises from every administration,
1:36.6	including Biden himself back in 2014 when he was serving as vice president.
1:42.1	So, after decades of endless war, trillions of dollars spent and thousands
1:47.5	of lives lost, why now? And is the U.S. Empire really letting go of Afghanistan? Well, before you start
1:56.1	celebrating, there are several major things being missed from the coverage about the reality of the withdrawal.
2:02.5	First, what's being framed by Biden as finally ending the Afghanistan war is actually his announcement to extend the war.
