I don't know whether you've decided what you're having for tea tonight, dear listener,

but the leaders of the world's seven most advanced economies already have.

Spice lemon to start, followed by roasted turbot with cornish-new potatoes and wild garlic pesto,

then cheese, ending with English strawberry pavlova,

clotted cream fudge and chocolate Earl Grey Truffles.

Oh, and the Queen will be there.

Personally, we're a bit sick of spice lemon and earl grey truffles on Corning Peston.

We were going to have fish and chips in front of goggle box.

I'm of course talking about the G7 summit in Cornwall, hosted by Boris Johnson in what is a big four days for the Prime

Minister. He met President Biden yesterday for the first time. It was all smiles for the cameras,

but expect the mood to change a little when EU leaders rock up on the resort on Friday,

given the continued row over sausages, which were wisely not on tonight's menu. And once the G7 is

over, Boris Johnson will then decide whether or not to lift restrictions

on June the 21st.

He makes his big announcement on Monday.
