Welcome to the Commentary Magazine Daily podcast today is Wednesday, May 4th, 2022.

It is the 45th anniversary of the opening day of Star Wars.

I do want to point out that I attended the 430 show on that opening day at the

Lowes Astro Plaza in Times Square. We now work four blocks away from what was

the Lowes Astro Plaza but is now some kind of concert venue that name keeps

changing. So I was there. I think the second show, maybe the third show of the day.

So I believe that I get my nerd credit there and my son is going to run home from school

and watch the movie I call Star Wars but which he like everybody is a generation

called a new hope which is not its name. Its name is Star Wars.

It's not a new hope. Anyway, so happy, happy May the 4th be with you day
