Hello and welcome to the show I'm Stuart Goldsmith and don't you just hate it when people tease important

announcements without giving you any more information more on that at the end of the show.

Today I am very pleased to be welcoming back to the show,

but for the first time in a solo capacity, Vigo Ven.

You will know him as the Norwegian clown lunatic who managed to best Simon Cowell in a

sort of clown version of mortal combat I suppose on Britain's got talent and he of the high visibility vest and one more

time and all of that stuff which basically you'll either know what I'm talking

about or you won't but I imagine quite a few of you will, because he shot to fame as the result of an incredible

series of very, very funny routines, which, as you will learn through this episode and the second part to it that comes out next week,

unless you're an insider in which you get both now, you will learn the kind of the inside story

of how that came about and how it came to be that a clown was able to win Britain's

got talent whilst appearing to do nothing, much to the fury of certain people online, but to the joy and celebration of everyone who knows

anything about actual comedy. So Vigo is from the small mining town of Kongsburg in Norway.

He trained at E. Colleier in Paris. We'll talk about that a bit and of course you will probably know him as one half of the double act

Zach and Vigo who won numerous awards along the way and who came on this podcast with their

director Johnny Woolley some while ago.

So in the first half of this is a two-parter and I'm talking now about the first half of the

first part.

We're going to talk about Vigo's history with ComCom Pond which is heartwarming in the

extreme. We'll talk about his working relationship

with Zach Zucker and we'll talk about how he ditched economics for a life as a comic.
