0:00.0	Hello and welcome back to all the small things with me, Venetia. So this is going to be something a little bit different.
0:08.0	I have been thinking over the past couple of months that I put too much pressure on myself to curate these perfect nine episode series.
0:19.0	So much pressure in fact that I only bring them to you once a year.
0:24.0	And to be honest I have this habit with all platforms that I create content on.
0:30.0	I put myself under a lot of pressure and as a result I think I end up putting less things out into the world.
0:36.0	And I'm trying to become less of a perfectionist as I get older.
0:40.0	I am also wanting to just have more conversations and have them as and when they feel right as opposed to
0:50.0	let me book this in in six months when you are no longer promoting this book.
0:54.0	So think of these podcasts that I am now starting as little solo voice note podcasts from me.
1:03.0	I have been really enjoying the style of podcast recently.
1:07.0	I've been spending more time by myself because my husband has been very very busy as have I and we've been spending
1:13.0	more time by myself and I you know I know I should be okay just listening to the thoughts in my head.
1:23.0	But I'm not and so I spent a lot of time listening to podcasts and I find them to be a real source of comfort.
1:31.0	Especially ones that don't require so much brain power from me sometimes I really really enjoy those.
1:37.0	But I think I probably could listen to a more serious engage my brain type of podcast maximum once a day.
1:45.0	But more low key podcasts like what I'm aiming to do with these voice notes.
1:49.0	There's no limit. There's really no limit.
1:52.0	So I thought I would start these episodes by talking about a couple of the small things that I've been really enjoying over the past week or so.
2:01.0	These will be things like books, TV shows, films, dare I say products, recipes, all of the things that make up my life really.
2:11.0	I want to start by talking about a film that I recently watched which I absolutely fell head over heels in love with.
2:21.0	It's called Rye Lane and it is the directorial debut from a woman called Rain Allen Miller.
2:30.0	This is a romantic comedy set in Peckham and it focuses on black love.
