Hello everyone and welcome to Follow Him. We are continuing with our Voices of the Restoration

series that goes along with Follow Him this year, along with the Doctrine and Covenant sections,

we talk about people. Today we're talking about the gathering to Ohio. Hank, when you

think of Ohio, isn't that the way you say hello in Japanese or

something like that? What do you think of? Here's what I think of. When I was younger and just

starting to learn church history, I heard about New York and I heard about Navu and maybe a little

bit of Missouri. But Curtland was this kind of, yeah, yeah, we were there at one

point, but it's really all about Navu. Then as I start learning the history, it's all about Kirtland.

This is where Joseph Smith lived the longest, like in a home. This is where the bulk of the sections

of the doctor and covenants come.

John, after having visited there, all three of us here do these church history tours, I've had

magnificent experiences walking around the temple grounds, walking around old Curtland,

the Isaac Morley farm, the John Johnson farm. It's a jewel. For me, Curtland has come to life.

What did President Incly say? I think at one point we're going to bring Kurtland out of obscurity.

Yeah, the first time that I went to Kurtland, all that was there was the Newell-K Whitney store with a pretty busy road next to it.

All sorts of things started to happen. The road got

moved. There's some amazing stories that we'll tell eventually. President Hinckley was right about

the way it's changed now. It's really nice. I'm so glad we're able to do this. We have Dr. Garrett

Durkmont back, our Voices of the Restoration expert, who's going to tell us about Ohio.
