I know it feels that way it's been but you, this summer, just the nature of this summer and like a lot of travel for both of us and a lot of like world events, this summer has really has really messed with time in a way I have not

experienced in a long while. That's interesting I think you're right because three weeks ago it's like three weeks ago and change, Joe Biden was still the

Democratic nominee. I know. Right? I mean it's not that long ago and like now that has like dominated the news that's like a totally

different situation and I feel like you've been on a trip I've been on a trip I've been on a trip

I was had fucking COVID for a million days. The COVID. Did you have it bad? I did. I did. I did. I had it pretty bad. I mean not like you know I mean look we know what bad is it wasn't like hospital bad

But it was you know I was exhausted and in bed for four days and didn't really feel right for about seven, you know, like, and still like weird taste and just like weird like just pain in my, like, back of my throat and my chest, like just weird.

It's just, COVID remains weird.

Yeah, no, it's true.

When I had it, I didn't feel like myself for 11 days. I got the delta variant, it was that long ago.

Could not lift a finger. I, you know, and I needed it so bad because I was so weirdly needed the forced rest because I think I slept for like five days straight

and I needed it I needed to like totally reset because I was running on absolute fumes.

But yeah, it was it was no fun and nobody's talking about it.

Like it's totally back a lot of people have it and you know I mean I masked up on the

plane but I didn't mask on an Amtrak ride and I did teach a college class at one point with a bunch of kids so like

somewhere in there I got it I'm traveling a bunch and somewhere in there I got it but like you know

nobody's talking about it and like a late case of COVID takes you out I was out for a week

thank God I have a life that I could afford to be out for a week yeah yeah no it's No, it's totally true. It's totally true. So yeah, but so yeah, and it was very rare for me to not record to be so beat up that I couldn't record, but my voice was also fucked up so I was like nah but you were

away I went away I went to join Paul on the end leg of their tour which was fun

you know they toured this summer with guys who played with Frank Zappa. Oh fun. So the music part of it was not like my cup of tea and it was a really long show it was a three and a half hour

show. Wow. Wow. Okay. That was just a lot of Zappa for the uninitiated. Yeah, but it was fun and you know I always
