Hey guys, it's Amanda. I wanted to talk to you all this morning because I'm struggling.

And if there's anything that mythology teaches us, it's that the work of understanding our

humanity is messy and contradictory and hard. It sometimes feels impossible. It often feels like

we're going backward. And something

that this show has taught me over the last eight years is that we have millennia's worth of stories

out there, proving that we are not the only ones who have had to do this stuff. We face terrifying

odds and impossible challenges before as people, as a species. And by leaning on each

other and our ancestors and our stories, we will face this also. And most importantly, most

urgently, I'd say, is leaning on our immediate communities. That's what this is for me. That's what

multitude is for me, Julia, Bren, Eric, Brandon, everyone else who works here. We have made this our jobs

to make a place where you feel like it's worth spending time, where we can be for you to think

about the world, your place in it, or the past or the future, and to support each other through that. It's something that we don't take lightly.

It's something that I feel like we earn the time that you spend with us. And at spirits, at multitude,

we're honored that you choose to spend time with us. We want to keep earning our place in your

lives. And more than that, we promise to. You know that

every single Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. Eastern, you are going to wake up to something new in this
