favorite comments on one of our videos in the past was that the intro music to this show slaps and I agree it does

slap every time kale plays it I'm just like mm-hmm I'm feeling it you know what slaps is

the new animation on the intro. Did anyone else notice that?

Because I did. That was some slick, slick work from the Jacobin graphics department. Whomever,

congratulations. Yeah, congratulations.

So Nando, we have a fantastic show ahead for our audience today.

We're going to talk to Richard Seymour, who's the author of the Twittering machine.

So we're going to have an in-depth discussion about all of the ramifications of the social

industry, as he refers to it it under this capitalistic structure.

I'm really looking forward to that conversation because it goes beyond some of the

shallow conversations that you see that don't address the incentive structure for why

you know the social industry is so dramatically bad for our lives but you know I

also want to challenge some of the, you know, it's not, I don't think it's necessarily all bad, right?

There are upsides to social media and I want to, you know, challenge him on that a little bit.
