And it's kind of a weird question, because if everyone's ever asked you, if a financial planner's ever asked to you, what are your goals? You know, it's kind of weird.

It's like, I don't know. I don't have just goals taped over my mirror of what I'm investing for.

And that's kind of the common thing that we think of when we think of goals. So in today's episode,

what I want to do is I want to almost reframe how we think about goals first and

foremost. Number two, I want to just walk through some common goals that I see most people

planning for, maybe some things to think about, because it really doesn't need to be all that

complicated when it comes down to it. And then number three, I want to talk about why it matters.

And it probably matters for a different reason that you might be thinking. So let's jump

into it. What goals should you be investing for? Now, again, goals is kind of this weird term.

Like I said, you don't necessarily have this life plan goals built out for your investment

portfolio. And if you do, great. More power to you. But if not, don't think of goal as something like that. Think of goals just,

what are you investing for? What's important to you? What values do you have? What are the things that

you want to make sure that you're on track to be able to accomplish? That's really what we want to be

thinking of. And some common ones, number one, the biggest one is probably just retirement. And really,
