Summary

In December 2005, a dog walker discovers the body of a Swedish woman on Prestwick beach in Ayrshire on Scotland's west coast. Annie Börjesson’s family are told the 30-year-old died by suicide. But something felt wrong. Why had Annie been found along with her passport? Why didn't Annie board her flight at Prestwick airport?

And it begins on Sunday, the 5th of December 2005, on Preswick Beach in Scotland.

It's coming up to 8.30 a.m.

And a man and his dog are walking by the shore

when something on the beach catches the man's eye.

He got very shocked.

It was in December.

Still, for a split second, he was thinking,

there is a girl there, a sunbathing.

And then directly he understood that that's not possible

that something else has happened here.

When the man moves closer, he sees that the girl is lying face down on the sand.

She has long blonde hair and is wearing jeans atop and trainers.

So he understood that she was dead and he called the police and they came very quickly.

The police quickly seal off the scene and remove the dead woman's body from the beach.

But two days later, something significant happens.
