Welcome in to the House of L podcast. I am Laura Tomes. Thank you so much for hanging

0:24.6

out with me. I appreciate it. We are brought to you by Aurelio's pizza. I think that might

0:33.8

be the move for me tonight. I don't think I need a small, I think I need a little tonight.

0:38.9

They have that little and the small, medium, large family style. I think it just a little

0:46.8

might be the move for me later on tonight. But if you love pizza and you want to try

0:53.0

to explain to people that tavern style pizzas, you know, what the south side of Chicago

1:01.2

is known for. It's really weird how people think that we deep dish all the time. It's

1:09.0

very strange. I saw some stuff on Twitter this past week where people were talking about

1:15.5

that and I'm like, no, man, we don't. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had deep dish

1:57.1

tear that place up, man. We would tear it up. But yeah, people think that we eat deep dish

2:05.6

and you have to prepare for deep dish. It better be a 20,000 step day or whatever. Or you

2:18.5

ran an 8k. Honestly, now that I think about it, the races that I've run, I've never been

2:29.1

hungry for pizza afterwards. Because usually those races are in the morning. You're thinking

2:35.2

like breakfast food. But it is really strange how people really think that Chicago is just

2:44.1

deep dish. We've done ourselves a disservice nationally and internationally by allowing

2:50.5

people to think that a really those pizza dot com. If you're looking for a good job this

2:56.6

summer, I think that might be a place that you or a young person in your life might want

3:01.7

to explore. Now that they're all back from school, which is exactly what this episode is
