Summary

Yup. I reached my goal of having a "million dollar year" last year. Now that I'm in a new tax bracket, I've learned a lot about myself. It's been very eye-opening to realize what having wealth really feels like and what it actually means for my life and my mental health. While it may be considered taboo to talk about, I'm ready to share what I've learned.

Hey guys, what's up? It's Raven, fun facts. I have never seen the movie The Notebook. And

0:17.7

that's really just one of many movies like that that are like classic movies that everyone

0:22.5

always talks about that I have never seen. And honestly, I don't really care to watch

0:26.6

it because I'm just not really a movie person. I'm not a movie person and I'm not a TV

0:31.2

show person either. Like nine times out of 10, somebody asked me like, oh, have you seen

0:35.7

this? Are you watching this? And I'm like, no, I just don't watch movies or TV shows like

0:40.2

at all. But on another note, today we are going to be talking about money. We are going

0:45.3

to be talking about my money, specifically. We're going to be talking about my personal

0:48.2

experience with money and making money. And specifically, I'm going to be talking about

0:54.6

what I have learned since making my first million. Yes, I just said that out loud. I can't

1:03.9

believe it. I've never said that out loud. I've never said that publicly. But yes, I am

1:10.5

now lucky enough to be able to say that I have experienced what it feels like to make

1:16.8

a million dollars. Last year, 2020, was my first, quote, unquote, million dollar year.

1:25.8

And I've been working up to that over the past like five or six years for sure. Basically,

1:32.5

when I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter, it really put a fire under my

1:37.2

ass more than ever before. I've always been a goal oriented person. I've always been

1:42.4

what you might call a hustler. You know, I've always had like big goals, financial

1:48.4

goals, always tried to like stay on top of that and push myself. But when I found out

1:54.3

that I was pregnant with my daughter, it like got multiplied times a hundred. And I started

1:59.0

really setting a lot of financial goals and really holding myself to it. And so I put

2:05.6

a lot of time and work and energy into doing anything that I can to try to double, triple,

2:13.5

quadruple my income every year. And I did it. You know, I started at a certain point.
