0:28.8	people will DM me and they'll ask, you know, what is the CDS letter? I don't want to just go read it, but I'd like some
0:36.5	understanding of what it is. And I personally myself have not read it, but I have talked to enough people whose testimonies have been affected by it to know what it contains and so I mean we just wanted to preface this episode by saying we are not advocating for
0:56.6	anyone reading the CES letter because it was, that's the whole purpose of it is,
1:10.1	it was written by somebody who had already decided they were stepping away from the church.
1:15.4	And so we wanted to create an episode where people can have an understanding for what it is
1:21.6	without having to read the letter themselves.
1:25.4	And I think it's really helpful because, you know, as we go throughout our lives and, you know,
1:31.5	we're in the year 2024 and the internet has everything on it and I think it's good for us to be prepared if we have family members that step away because of the CES letter I just think it's really important for us to have a basic
1:45.4	understanding of what's out there so that we're not blindsided by it. If somebody we love steps away because of the CES letter,
1:53.8	I think it's good to have a faithful perspective
1:57.5	of what the CES letter is,
1:59.7	and to be able to hear from someone who has done a ton of research on the
2:06.1	C. S. letter and to be able to view it with a faithful lens. So without further
