And now we are turning to the New York state budget, which is officially 18 days past its deadline.

That delay has been due in some part to a standoff between Governor Hockel and top Democrats in the legislature over the governor's proposed changes to the state's discovery laws.

We'll talk about what that means, who's proposing what.

And as of Tuesday, it does seem that both sides have struck a tentative framework deal, however,

potentially clearing the path for a final state budget agreement.

Here's Governor Hokel on Wednesday with a football metaphor for the budget deal. As a football fan, we're not on the,
