Dear young married couple, what is your score for 2024? And that's exactly what we're going to

ask each other in this episode. What's our score? I was recently in a counseling session with a

couple and I said, hey, how's the marriage going? How is the broken trust situation trust situation you know just kind of trying to get

an update and they didn't really know how to answer that so I said okay I took a step back and

asked them what score would you give yourselves on a scale of one to ten 10 being the most

amazing connected we're going places I'm so. And one is the pit of despair.

Where do you fall in that spectrum? And they gave their score. And then I asked the same question about

their trust. And the answers that they gave really was interesting and had them kind of looking at each other with curiosity and

interest because they both gave scores that they didn't expect.

Yeah.

And so that's what we want to do today.

Trying to put a number on last year.

Right.

And even though, you know, we all, we probably hopefully most of you listening,

will set a goal or some goals or habits or New Year's resolutions this week. And that's helpful.

Perhaps it's more helpful to look back on the previous year and recognize and celebrate where

you grew. But also what areas, what do we want to do

differently this year before we go and set goals? And if you've been following Dear Young Merry

couple for a while, you know that every year at this time, we sit down together at a coffee shop

and we do our New Year's habits. But before we do that this year, we thought it would behoove us and all of you listening.

We hope you do this for yourselves as well to give a score to each area of your marriage in

2024.
