Today we're going to be talking to the legendary investigative reporter Carl Bernstein of Watergate

fame.

He recently made headlines when he named 21 Republican Senators, who had expressed

to him extreme contempt for President Trump in his actions post-election.

All behind closed doors, of course.

In Carl's own words, their Craven public silence helped enable Trump.

But Steve, before we talk to Carl and I know we're both eager to do that, let's go into

this week's madness.

106 Republican House members and 17 Republican state attorneys general have signed on to

a legal brief in support of a lawsuit brought by the Texas Attorney General.

But the intent of this is to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

David, it is an unbelievable moment in a fitting end to this rancid Trump presidency, but opens

up and frames perfectly the battle will have for the next generation.

And that battle is difficult as it is for me to say it is a battle between democracy

and autocracy that will be playing out on American soil.

It's just beyond my comprehension to say that again.

A battle between democracy and autocracy.

Not in a foreign land, but on American soil.
