Will I get in trouble for asking this question? I promise, I have no intentions of being unnecessarily controversial— especially during the most heated months of an election year.
I’m asking this question in a more rhetorical way. My digital garden (explained in the podcast) led me here.
I think this episode is important because it explores a bunch of overlapping topics and themes. We talk about genetics, slavery, politics, and Christ’s preeminence.
These topics build upon each other and are related in interesting ways. I focus mostly on my personal experiences and how the “rabbit” in my digital garden led me through these topics and to this question.
Why does it matter?
Because the Build to Last mission is to help Christian families break generational curses, stabilize their environments, and build faith, relationships, and money that last.
How can we assess where were are and dream about where we are going, if we don’t know how we got here?

0:34.4 | some reels that were just little snippets of some of the videos that we've been |
0:39.2 | releasing over here on this channel and you know it got some good responses but this comment |
0:45.6 | it said wow I'm so surprised at your accent because you look just like some people I was speaking to yesterday. |
0:56.0 | What do you mean? |

1:05.6 | was I looked like I was from Ghana said hmm. |
1:14.0 | So I did something I never usually do, and I responded to a comment that was kind of irrelevant |
1:20.8 | to the content. |
1:22.4 | And I said, why do you say that? |
1:25.4 | And they said, you look like you're from Ghana, |
1:29.0 | like just based off of how your face looks. |
1:31.9 | I was expecting a different accent. |
1:33.6 | So when you started speaking and you had that American accent, |
1:36.8 | it shocked me. |
1:38.4 | I thought to myself, |
