We are going to be talking about the fresh news that Kamala Harris has picked Tim Walts,

the governor of Minnesota, as her vice presidential nominee. The favorite for a few weeks had

been Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, but he has been pipped at the post, it seems,

by Tim Walts. And I'm delighted to be joined by someone who's very pleased

about this news. It's Dash Dobrovsky, who is host of the Gen ZZZ, if you're American,

Gen Z podcast and newsletter. And Dash, you're pleased because you've written about how you thought

it should be Tim Waltz.

Why do you think this is such a good choice?

The reason I'm stoked about Tim Waltz is I think it was just the correct strategic pick for Kamala Harris.

I know Josh Shapiro is an incredible order, a great communicator.

He knows how to fire up the crowd and people love him in Pennsylvania. And as we know,

Pennsylvania is a must win battleground state. But I think he could help Harris in the exact same way as a surrogate for her as governor.

Therefore, I think, why not keep him there and then run somebody like Waltz, a, a fresher face,

I think, on the scene.

That way Kamala Harris can remain the star of the ticket.

And Waltz just gives off this down-to-earth genuine vibe that I think. That way Kamala Harris can remain the star of the ticket.
