Summary

Young men are under attack in our culture. We are not supposed to notice or talk about it, and God help us if we feel any sympathy for men, who have become the perpetual punching bags for modern feminism. But the reality is that men will play a crucial role in shaping what our society looks like, whether woke feminists like it or not. The only real question is what kind of men they will be: bitter, jaded, hedonistic, and out for revenge, or the sort of men that create a society where families can flourish. Today's guest is a walking poster child for masculinity. He's a MARSOC and NAVSPEC war combat veteran, professional MMA fighter, and all-around great guy.

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to making the argument. We're going to have an interesting

0:05.1

discussion today. Look, I think if you've been watching this show for a while or if you've

0:10.6

seen in my other content, you know that we talk a lot about masculinity and what does that

0:14.4

actually mean? And I believe that it is largely been under attack from a lot of different

0:20.2

angles. And I think there's

0:21.8

various reasons for that. And I think we can always look at certain things within masculinity,

0:26.1

certain components, and say, look, there's positive manifestations of masculinity, and there's

0:30.6

negative ones. And obviously, we want to exemplify. We want to encourage the positive aspects of that.

0:36.1

But that has not been the option that a lot of young men feel like they have been given. A lot of young men look around at the world today and feel like they are the enemy. Like they are the universal punching bag for everything that's going wrong. And a lot of other men, I know I'm one of them that says, no, man, you got to be strong. You got to be capable, you got to have a family, and they're looking back at me going, Nick, I don't have that option.

0:58.7

I don't have a wife.

1:00.2

I don't have kids.

1:01.3

I don't have any prospects of getting any.

1:03.4

And so the things you're telling me to fight for don't exist in my world.

1:08.1

And culture has pretty much told them to stop crying about it. And I'm going to tell you this

1:13.8

right now. Young men are going to revolt. They're going to revolt against the current cultural

1:20.3

pushback that they're feeling right now. And they're going to revolt in one of two ways.

1:27.2

They're either going to listen to the idea that they should be strong and capable for purely hedonistic reasons,

1:33.3

to basically get back and get revenge at all the people that told them that there was something wrong with them,

1:38.3

told them to sit down and shut up, told them that they didn't get to say,

1:40.3

they're either going to develop it that way or they're going to develop in a way that respects

1:45.4

honor and duty and responsibility and creates the sort of world where not only masculinity can

1:50.6

flourish but when we're femininity can flourish. So they're going to pick one of those two paths.
