and influencer Lydia Bayless Zulu. As a student in a new city, Lydia has been out and about

on her own quite often, but she has unfortunately had to deal with verbal harassment when she's

done so purely for taking a picture. One of the main things we chatted about in this episode is

the dangers that we face on a daily basis as women, as well as some of the things men could do to make

us feel safer when out on our own. Welcome to the PLT podcast Lydia. Hello, thank you for having me today.

So good to have you here. I'm very excited to be actually someone not in my anywhere.

I mean, babes, this is the first recording that we've done in a year, like in person. I feel like it's a year,

yeah, people are nodding around us. It's been a whole year. So like this human interaction,

I'm really here for it today, do you know what I mean? It is quite like Disneyland anyway. I feel like PLT

is a bit like magical, like the unicorns everywhere. It is pretty surreal, isn't it? How's your lockdown

and everything been? How have you been? Yeah, no, it's been all right. I mean, there's, you get

there's tougher moments than better moments and it's just like, because I'm up here when I didn't

choose to go home for lockdown. So I'm up here, I'm just at uni with my flatmate. Two girls

have actually moved out, so it's only just two of us now in the flat. So we're kind of like each

of those rocks in this. Oh my god, yeah. We pretty much do everything together now. So there was five of you

originally. So that I'm I don't show my eyes. Oh, can't come. Yeah, I know. So then I moved out. So

wow. Oh, so it's just a two of you. Oh my god, that is crazy, because this is a thing I think like

lockdown has been wild for everybody obviously and everyone's affected in so many different ways,

but for students, it's just been a whole other world. Honestly, like because I live in private

accommodation, so I don't actually live on the campus. Got you. But I have like quite, I have

some friends on the campus and they just their experiences are just wild. I mean, absolutely
