0:00.0 | Hello and welcome back to the Carl Jackson Show. I am joined now by my guest, Sean Carney. He's the president of 40 Days for Life. And he's here to talk about RFK Jr. |
0:12.7 | RFK Jr. was obviously on the Hill earlier this week, trying to shore up his support for Republican congressmen or senators, excuse me, on the Hill, |
0:24.0 | as he is nominated to be the head of HHS. Also, you have the Republican Party with Speaker Mike |
0:31.1 | Johnson at the helm that have basically signed on to this omnibus bill. It doesn't look like |
0:36.5 | it's going well. He's going to give us his take on |
0:38.2 | that as well. So, Sean, it's been quite a while, but welcome back to the Carl Jackson show. |
0:44.1 | It's good to be back. Thanks for having me. Okay. So, yeah, absolutely, man. So, okay, so RFK Jr., head of |
0:51.2 | HHS, give us your take right off the bat. Right off the bat, I don't have a |
0:56.7 | problem with it. Look, pro-lifers have been very disappointed year after year, election after |
1:02.3 | election with pro-life Republicans who got in there and just didn't do anything. And in comes Donald |
1:07.6 | Trump. Many pro-lifers were very skeptical of him. I wasn't. I did an event for Trump in 2015 before he announced. I was definitely an early Trumper. I bought in. I believed him. I got to meet him and spend a lot of time with him. So that definitely influenced it because I felt like, you know, I could ask him real questions and get real answers. And he obviously was the most pro-life president ever. |
1:29.1 | And so the idea that we have a Kennedy, who's not really a Kennedy, he's a Kennedy who has |
1:33.5 | abandoned his family for righteous reasons and his political party for righteous reasons. |
1:39.3 | And he has sworn that he will follow the pro-life Trump agenda. |
1:43.4 | So I had early concerns about RFK. |
1:46.8 | We've been in contact with some of his people. I think he believes the right things. I think he's |
1:51.9 | saying the right things. 40 Days for Life is made up of a movement of converts, of people who |
1:57.2 | supported abortion. We have people who worked in the abortion industry who worked for us. |
2:01.6 | So we definitely give everybody, you know, a chance and a voice. |
2:05.6 | And I think that he has come a long way on abortion. |
2:08.9 | And I think RFK would uphold Trump's pro-life agenda. |
2:14.8 | And I have no issue saying that. Okay. So, |
