making her podcast debut. And I'm delighted to say we're also joined by James Heel, diary editor,

The Spectator, and a Liz Trust biographer. So we're going to start with the first moment.

Let's go back to January, if anyone was can remember that.

And Partygate was in full swing and the suitcase of wine.

Ellie, the suitcase of wine was this amazing idea that people in Number 10 were going out and collecting supplies of wine for the special wine fridge that they'd bought

apparently in the number 10 press office, which has no longer exists apparently, or it's just

full of soft drinks now, I think, is the rule. What do you, what your memories of that, of that time,

really? Well, I can remember that it was just, everyone just responded with absolute ridicule

because it's absolutely ridiculous to be going to fill a suitcase with wine,

particularly in the middle of pandemic.

We were just saying before this about, was it their heart radio presenters

trying to run from their Lester Square studio to the Strand Co-op

where they bought the wine and back laden with wine,

see how quickly they could do it.

Yeah.

I think.

That's when you're in trouble, I think, when Hart FM go against you.
