Yosemite National Park have surged as the park entered its peak tourist season without a reservation

system in place. The combination of increased visitation, road closures, and limited parking

has led to clogged traffic, long long waits and other challenges for visitors.

At points the line at the entrance station has exceeded 8 miles with a 4 hour wait to get in.

Many factors have contributed to the current situation,

including the rescheduling of trips postponed due to record rainfall and snowfall earlier this year.

The park closed several areas briefly due to flooding concerns.

These flooding concerns were mostly alleviated as the record snowpack melted fairly evenly,
