Last week I called up a listener named Ian Linderschelden and when I got him on the phone

he was socially distanced.

Yeah, actually I'm at a public park doing my online college classes so my parents are

at risk so I gotta make sure everyone's okay.

This is what's become of Ian's freshman year at Florida International University and

he's got a lot of time now to think about meaningful places he can no longer go physically.

So the pizza spot he hung out at in high school, the burger joint he walks to from his house

called burger bobs not to be confused.

He says with the popular cartoon.

It's not Bob's burger, it's burger bobs.

Okay burger bobs.

It's so old my grandfather used to go there.

If that place is in here that's my whole childhood.

Yeah, I am put again my billing address.

Ian has set aside about a hundred dollars to try and help these restaurants survive.

And while we talk to he bought a $25 gift card to that high school pizza place.

It's kind of sad I'm sending it to myself so it's too Ian from Ian.

There's something like that really encapsulates the moment there.

The isolation of sending yourself a gift card.

Yeah.
