Fred Gomez, Carosco, was a notorious drug cartel boss from San Antonio.

After years earning millions and running from the cops,

Carosco was serving a life sentence when he decided to break out of the walls unit,

the oldest prison in Texas. Carosco and two henchmen took over the prison library.

They held teachers and librarians captive as Carosco bartered for his freedom.
