And let me say there's a school of thought, and I know because I've been speaking to one of the students just now, a local journalist,

the school of thought which says says footballers are professionals.

They're hard-nosed.

They earn lots of money, they've got lots of responsibility,

and therefore things that apply to the normal person

should be shrugged off by them.

This school of thought extends to people, mostly in the public, I think, who believe

either vocally or subliminally that those who got lots and lots of money, be that TV

stars, cinema stars, mad businessmen and women who earn millions, big bonuses,

or footballers who've got financial security, shouldn't have the same worries as you or I,

not just the same worries as those who scrimp and say, but the same worries as those who think that money might be in

short supply, that the mad state of the world, the economic situation will affect us or our loved

ones. And there is this subliminal belief pattern that if you've got lots of money it somehow

armours you. It makes your soul or your spirit of your heart

teflon to the types of things that would affect you or I in our daily work.
