Car sharing company Zipcar has found itself in a bit of hot water.

Zipcar, a subsidiary of Avis Budget Group, rents vehicles out by the hour or day.

It's not your average rental counter-experience, either. The cars are parked around cities,

and you can use an app to unlock them, then return them to the same location you found them.

But some of those vehicles,

it turns out, may not have been up to safety standards in the recent past. See, back in 2017,

the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, announced a massive vehicle recall.

The vehicles in question were Ford Transit vans manufactured between 2015 and 2017. The issue?
