And we want to talk about SOG, which was the Secret War,

that went on for eight years in Vietnam.

And during that time, we learned many years later we had the highest casualty rate of the entire war,

but we didn't know that while we were involved in the war. I'm going to turn to a chapter here from a book surrender, not an option.

out while the getting was still good. However, the helicopter had already reached the point of no return and

were now committed to refuel. The team was on its own for an hour and a half to two hours.

Purvis knew the accomplishment of the mission was out of question.

Now team survivability was Paramount.

He knew the trackers would soon be on his trail,

followed by at least two squads of NVA soldiers

and another tracker.
