Volkswagen has unveiled the ID Everyone concept. It's an affordable electric city car.

It could have just been called the ID1, but anyway, it's the ID Everyone. And if you're interested, by the way, it's ID full stop, capital E, VERY, no space, numerical one.

I'm always a stickler for how things are stylised, and sometimes I regret that because it's just silly. Call it the ID one. Heck, call it the ID up, please. However, it starts at 17,000 pounds.

UK, make the adjustment if you want it in euros or, well, I say dollars, but it probably won't go to

America, will it? And it will launch in 27. It's positioned as from Europe for Europe, and it will

replace the up in the A-segment category.

Well, CEO Thomas Schaefer described the ID every one as the last piece of the puzzle

in Volkswagen's mass market lineup and called it the car the world has been waiting for.

Wow, talk about setting expectations,ing its importance to the brand.

The production model will use a modified front wheel drive version of the MEP entry platform.

Development Chief Kai Grunitz noted similarities to the ID2 all concept,

with a smaller battery, shorter wheelbase, and a new rear axle borrowed from the polo.

Well, the IDI, everyone, has a 94 brake horsepower motor, that's 70 kilowatts, it's all

you need, a top speed of 81 miles an hour, 130kph, and an expected minimum range of 155 miles or 250Ks.

Honestly, why do you want any more for an urban car that you're trying to bring in at the lowest price possible?
