Instead of telling you what not to eat, today I’m going to tell you what to eat! Find out how to clean your arteries of arterial plaque buildup and discover the unexpected foods that unclog arteries naturally.
Overview of the Healthy Keto® Diet:
The endothelial layer is the innermost layer of your arteries. It controls blood pressure, acts as a filter, prevents clots, and supports immune function.
The inside of your arteries is very susceptible to problems with insulin. Most people have insulin resistance, which is caused by chronic carbohydrate consumption and constant snacking.
Nitric oxide relaxes the blood vessels and is vital for the health of the endothelial layer of the arteries. Vitamin D triggers nitric oxide, which is why many people who are low in vitamin D also have high blood pressure. Arginine, testosterone, and magnesium also trigger nitric oxide.
Vitamin D and magnesium can help prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, and vitamin K2 also helps to prevent calcium buildup.
Foods like whole grains and seed oils are deemed “heart healthy,” but they spike insulin. We’re also told to avoid saturated fats because of the cholesterol content. There’s a lot of false information regarding a diet that’s truly healthy for your heart.
The best meal to clean your arteries would involve foods that don’t spike insulin. A low-carb ketogenic diet is best for your heart.
The primary part of the best meal to clean out your arteries should be grass-fed red meat. If you’re having a burger, melt raw cheese on top because it’s high in vitamin K2. Red meat is loaded with zinc, which can directly improve your testosterone.
Include a salad with your meal. Arugula is a great addition to any salad, as it can increase nitric oxide and is rich in vitamins C and E. Pumpkin seeds are also beneficial due to their high magnesium, zinc, and selenium content.
Vitamin D3 is vital for a healthy heart. Sunlight is the best source, but you may need to take a supplement in the winter. Take at least 10,000 IU daily as a maintenance dose.

0:11.1 | quite surprising for most of you because it's not going to follow the traditional American |
0:15.4 | Heart Association idea of what you should be eating. To figure out what to eat, we have to really |
0:20.3 | look at the layer of |
0:21.6 | tissue that's exposed to the blood going through your arteries, and that's called the endothelial |
0:26.6 | layer that controls your blood pressure, both high and low. It also acts as a filter, especially as the |
0:32.3 | blood vessels go through the kidney because that's what the kidney is. It's a filter. It also does |
0:36.3 | other things like preventing clots. It has an immune component. One other very unique thing about it is that the fuel that it |
0:43.1 | prefers is actually glucose. Realize you don't have to consume glucose to feed it. Your body can |
0:49.5 | very easily make glucose. Because it uses glucose as the primary fuel, that means it also needs insulin |
0:57.3 | to hold this glucose in, which means that inside of the artery is very susceptible to problems |
1:04.7 | with insulin. The majority of the population has this insulin resistance problem. Why is that |
1:09.9 | so important to know? Because if you have an insulin |
1:12.0 | deficiency, you're going to have a deficiency of fuel. How do you develop insulin resistance |
1:17.0 | by consuming things that increase insulin? And that would be the chronic consumption of carbohydrates, |
1:23.4 | snacking. Both snacking too much and the consumption of too many carbohydrates creates the situation |
1:28.7 | of insulin resistance. The next thing I want to talk about is nitric oxide. The nitric oxide |
1:34.5 | relaxes the vessels. They help keep the arteries from becoming stiff. They really support that |
1:40.5 | endothelial layer of the inside of the arteries. Vitamin D is another thing that triggers nitric oxide. |
1:47.9 | Vitamin D is so powerful and potent at helping support that endothelial layer. |
1:54.7 | This is why so many people that are low in vitamin D have a problem with high blood pressure. |
