The Hello and welcome to 10 days of festive fear

24 and we are on day number three.

And I have one spooky story for you today.

And this story comes from October the 16th, 2024.

And our story today comes from Sherston.

When I wrote in the story that featured in episode 347,

The Weeping Woman of the Graveyard, I left something out.

Originally, I told you that I had come to realise that I had different gifts than my mother and grandmother.

But I did not tell you what they were.

So I guess I owe you another story to finish the tale.

I can't see spirits. Honestly, I don't want to.

But I have a certain proclivity for collecting friends who can.

This became particularly apparent when I

left home and started university. My very first week of living in the dormitories, I met another

young woman named Amber Lee. She was small, blonde and incredibly eccentric. We were both

theatre majors. She had an acting focus while I was directing.

Obviously, this meant we were destined to be friends. Over those first few weeks of school,

we built a friend group that comprised of other girls living on our floor and Michael, a wandering

nerd who we basically adopted. I also introduced the group to my friend

Laura who I had met in middle school. We were a quirky bunch. We'd sing musicals in the grocery

store, film vampire movies with a webcam and watch Lord of the Rings marathons on the weekends.
