Is 2001 the best year in pro wrestling history?

Maybe. I do get why people think that.

The one, you get WrestleMania 17.

On the other hand, it is the start of the invasion angle.

It still makes me sad.

To prove it one way or another two, my brain, I decided to sit down and watch as much more as I could from this 12-month period.

And what a loser I am for doing it.

Number 10, WCW is treated a little bit like a joke.

I know, I am sorry, but I have to start here to get it out the way.

From day one, WCW is basically laughed at.

Now, it's not directly, but you can just

feel Vince McMahon looking to undermine that promotion instantly. When you get to the blow-off

matches, boom, WWF killed these guys. And look, I love Lance Storm and I mean I really love him,

but it is a shame we kick all this off with him and Hugh Morris only because of our own expectations.

Given we had wanted this for years, we were like, oh my gosh, it's going to be Goldberg and Sting taking over, and we would not see them at all.

There's also the fact that Booker T was ready to debut at the King of the Ring pay-per-view shortly after this, and I think we should have waited for him.

He was a huge name and a former world champion, and that guy was going to attack Steve Austin.

That's what we wanted.

Actually, don't mind it being somebody like Lance, but he went after Steve Blackman,

but I'd really understand why we didn't make this headline material.

The speed of the thing is also crazy, a storm is gone almost as soon as he does arrive.
