VictorPrep's vocab podcast is for improving for English vocabulary skills while helping you prepare for your standardized tests!

This podcast isn't only intended for those studying for the GRE or SAT, but also for people who enjoy learning, and especially those who want to improve their English skills.

I run the podcast for fun and because I want to help people out there studying for tests or simply learning English.

The podcast covers a variety of words and sometimes additionally covers word roots. Using a podcast to prep for the verbal test lets you study while on the go, or even while working out!

0:48.0

And when you read her books, of course, they're fantasy, they're science fiction, but you

0:53.6

can tell they're deeply influenced by philosophy and her thoughts about the world and politics

0:58.3

and life and so on.

1:00.6

And I think I would recommend pretty much everything she wrote to all of you to read.

1:06.4

But you can't do wrong from starting with the Wizard of Earth C series.

1:12.8

And I've got a quote from you from the second of the books in that series, which is called

1:17.4

The Tooms of Attuan, which is for me, I think, one of the best in the series, just wonderful

1:24.4

and imaginative and poetic.

1:28.4

And I've done it, kind of cheated really.

1:30.9

I've combined two of the quotes from the book into one because I was having such a hard

1:35.2

time picking only one quote.

1:37.6

So yeah, it's a bit of a bit of a cheat today, so I've kind of stuffed two quotes together.

1:44.3

So please don't complain that I've given you a fake quote.

1:48.2

It's two real quotes that I've stuffed together to make one quote from the book.
