Bishop Strickland has come out strong against the new Cardinal Archbishop of Washington, D.C., Cardinal McElroy, who's been appointed by

Pope Francis.

And Cardinal McElroy is recognized by the left and the right as perhaps the most liberal, progressive,

and modernist bishop in the United States.

And now he has been elevated to Cardinal Archbishop of

Washington, D.C., where former Cardinal McCarick used to rain, and I can't help to think two things

on this. First off, this seems to indicate that we're about to have five to ten more years of bad bishops.

The lot of corruption of abuse, both financial, and against children, in the Catholic Church

for the past many decades is because we had Cardinal McCarrick, who was leicized, who was inappropriate with

young people, who was fast and loose with finances, who was corrupt, who doesn't seem to be an

Orthodox Catholic, he was the Cardinal Archbishop of D.C., and he was the bishopmaker.

The appointments were made by Cardinal McCarrick, and now we have one of his protégés.

Cardinal McElroy runs in the circle of Supich, Whirl, McCarrick,

and we have just seen a huge setback in the American Catholic Church with Cardinal McElroy.

And Bishop Strickland is right.
