Episode 123. Fall in idle and trying to take charge, war baby here with another episode

of murderous minors. This week on murderous minors, we're going to look at several cases

so let's get started. And yes, 14-year-old alleged Garland Texas Texaco shooter Abel Acosta

is still on the run. If you're a frequent listener of the show, you know it's called murderous

minors, but we talk about all kinds of cases where minors have killed someone, including

accidents, like our first case this week. Did any of you watch American Idol last year?

Was just recently a contestant from that season was involved in a deadly car accident.

On February 8th, 2022, 54-year-old Larry Dwayne Perris was killed at his own home in

Packlet near Spartanburg, South Carolina when the 2011 Ford truck that former American

Idol contestant Caleb Kennedy was driving barrelled into him. Kennedy, who was 16 years old

on the show, made it to the top five in the competition before an old video clip resurfaced

and caused him to leave Hollywood and return home to Robux, South Carolina. In the years

old clip, a then 12-year-old Kennedy is seen sitting next to another kid, who's wearing

what most assumed was a KKK hood. The video was shared around dorm in high school where

he was a sophomore and eventually made its way to social media.

Kennedy's mother spoke out, saying that it was meant to resemble what was worn in the

2018 film The Strangers Pray At Night and thought that a jealous classmate was the likely

instigator. He exited the show and made 2021 and made a statement apologizing for the

incident six weeks later, and he didn't make the news again until word of Larry Perris

death hit the news eight months after.
