podcast where today we're going to talk about oral hygiene and its relationship to

traditional Chinese medicine. We're going to talk about the mouth, the teeth, and the gums,

and how infections and how the strength of the gums can affect the strength of the whole body.

In Chinese medicine, and in many health practices, they say that health starts with the mouth.

It starts with what you eat. It starts with the oral cleanliness because this is the first

area that bacteria usually can affect you, that along with the lungs. So when we're talking about

traditional Chinese medicine, we're talking about what goes on in the teeth, what goes on in the

gums because it's a very important subject. The reason being is I have stories lined up. I like

to give examples. I've had times when patients come into the office and they'll have a chronic

infection or a chronic disease. And from my examination and from lab testing and eventually doing

kinesiology testing along with biological dentist, finding out certain scans, like certain CT scans,

certain CAT scans, oral scans, I have found different infections that have been hiding within the

gum cavity and those infections can give off endotoxins. So many times if patients come in and they

have problems where they cannot get them resolved, if I found that there is a missing link,

I then eventually go into and really check the gum line and find out the oral history of the patient.

So I've, for example, I had a patient that had issues with hearing and had problems with
