well good morning beautiful welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Thursday, my friends. Did you miss me yesterday? Because I sure missed you. I know that you might have come yesterday looking for the newest episode and you're like, what's going on? Many of you messaged me. Hey, are you okay? Where were you? Well, surprise, I was on a very unexpected flight. It was not

planned. It was very last minute. But I flew into Virginia, grabbed my grandson, and brought him

home with me. So I was on an airplane yesterday with the two-year-old grandson, and we are just delighted and super

surprised to get a round two of Poppy and Franny camp for 2024. How could we possibly complain about that?

So that's why there wasn't a new episode yesterday, but I'm so excited to be back with you

today. If you remember, we've been in a bit of a series this week. We've been studying the

book of Ecclesiastes, and why is the book of Ecclesiastes kind of so depressing and so, like,

down on life.

And why is it that we've taken just kind of little quotes out of Ecclesiastes and really gotten it all wrong?

I started studying the book of Ecclesiastes and then I understood, oh my goodness, this is

so much deeper.

So that's what we've been doing is looking at Solomon's quest and I'm learning the lessons

that Solomon learned.

So the title of today's episode of the Big Life devotional podcast is fame and success.

Today we continue our search for meaning and fulfillment in life. And isn't that

what we're all looking for? We're all looking for meaning. We're all looking for fulfillment.

So far, we've found that trying to understand everything is not the answer.

We can never understand the things of God.

It is not our place to know everything.

It's our place to trust there's a bigger picture we cannot yet see.
