In today's audio experience, Lou and I are going to be going through 20 different mind-blowing

songs, and we're going to be going in depth about the writing, we're going to be going

in depth about the backstories, and even some of them have this incredible production that we

feel like you guys should be hip to. And what's interesting is that we did this episode on

YouTube, and Lou and I kind of did like a combined list of 10 different songs that we wanted to talk about.

But for this audio episode, it's going to be a bit of a different experience if you did watch that YouTube one.

Because in today's episode, Lou and I are going to go 10 for 10.

So you brought in 10.

I brought in 10.

And let me ask you, when creating this list, it was a different process, right?

Because you did your own separate one.

I did my separate one. So were you looking for different types of songs in different genres,

something with strong writing, backstory? Like, what were you going for with your 10 different

songs for today? Yeah, I was definitely all hip hop for myself. I brought in 10 different

hip hop songs. And I mean, listen, I'm looking for whatever could blow my mind musically, right?

So sometimes it's going to be a plot twist within the narrative of a song. Sometimes it's going to be

the concept of the track as a whole. In other cases, it's going to be a rapper who is spitting over

a very unconventional instrumental that I feel like no one else can wrap over. There's a bunch of different

reasons, but ultimately, like, this is subjective because a song could blow your mind, but not blow

mine, right? So it comes down to whatever speaks to the person. But yeah, man, I mean, some of these

for myself, even when I'll start off with, like, it was almost more mind-blowing to me just because

I never knew it existed.
