Here we go. Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host, Sean Croxon, a Sean Crackson.com. We got Pamela Jet on

the show today. Today's talk is a little bit different than what we normally do. It's not an

onstage talk. It's more of an in-studio talk, but I wanted to play it because communication is so

important, but it's also very complex. I mean, how often have you been in a conversation and

you said something and somebody just took it completely the wrong way or felt totally uncomfortable

by the phrase that you used? And so, you know, with our communications, there's a goal that we have

for our communications. In order to get there, we have to make sure that the conversation, the communication,

it stays productive. And so what Pamela Jett's going to do today is she's going to share three

phrases that many of us use all of the time that are leading to nonproductive communications.

And also phrases that you can replace those non-productive phrases with.

And small changes in the words that you choose to use as a professional can make a big difference in your results. It's a lot like duct tape and

NASCAR. If you've ever seen a NASCAR race on television or even been to the track, you know

that duct tape is one of the most powerful pieces of equipment that a pit crew will utilize.

They will put duct tape over the front grill of a vehicle, and they will either remove or

add duct tape during the course of a race, sometimes as little as an inch of duct tape,

can increase or decrease airflow over the engine, which can increase speed and performance.
