Hello there, friends. We have a special podcast for you today. It's special for a couple reasons. Number one, I still sound super nasally with allergies and stuff that's going around. So that makes it special. And secondly, Ron Sandison is the guy I'll be talking to. And I really like him. I've been wanting to talk to him for a while.

He's written some books that I can recommend. And I get asked a lot by people like, hey, what would

you say about this or that when it comes to autism? Parenting kids on the spectrum or being on the

spectrum. This is what he does. He talks about his own experience,

and I think you're going to enjoy this interview. But he's written books. His latest is called

Adolting on the Spectrum, an insider's guide to navigating life with autism. And a lot of people

will benefit from that. Another book he wrote is called A Parents Guide to Autism, Practical

Advice, Biblical Wisdom. So Ron Sanderson is his name, he references, and he can't see it,

because we're not doing video here, but he references his prairie dog. He has a stuffed prairie dog,

and he has a stuffed honey badger, which I didn't know until we did this interview.

And I was like, are we the same person?

This is really wild.

So, anyhow, that's what he's talking about, what he references that because you can't see it.

So he uses those to teach adults and kids.

So here we go.

Ron Sandison. For people who don't know you, and I don't have your

full bio, I'm thinking, like, what kind of kid were you? You said you weren't very verbal at the

beginning? Like, tell me about that. So yeah. So when I was seven years old, my brother Chuck would

meet or introduce me to people and say, you've got to meet my brother, Ron. I think he's from Norway. He'd have me talk. No one knew what I was saying, so he became an expert on Norwegian languages. When he became a pastor, he became an expert on Hebrew. But before then, he was expert on the Ron language. And when I'd write my name, I'd write it backwards, and I would say words, and they were very unattangible.

Well, my mom noticed as I had at age five, an amazing art ability.
