Alex, how are you? Troy, it feels like Christmas morning for me. I literally woke up so excited. I'm so happy to be here talking about this with you. I'm so happy to have you here. Literally all Alex and I do is message all week about music. And the other day I was like, wait a minute. I've never asked Alex to be on my show and all we do is talk about music.

Like I kind of felt like an asshole to be honest.

Yeah, and you were like letting me pick which album we were going to review and I just put out so many ideas I was like oh my

God you you call me it like a fem-bot I was just like really spinning crazy and I just was like, you said when you wake up in the morning, you'll know which one you want to do.

And I woke up and I knew. I wanted to talk about this album.

So we're talking about Shakira's 2001 laundry service today,

which is major, I know that this was a major album for you

and I'm excited to hear what it meant for you growing up

But it was huge for me too. This was a really big I don't know this was just one of those albums that I remember

Being given like my mom used to sometimes just buy me what albums she thought I would want and like in hopes that I would like them and sometimes they were

then sometimes it was Shakira and she would hit it out of the park and this was one of those moments where I was like damn I really like shakira

same I just feel like this album kind of ended up somehow at my house and of course I was drawn to it because the cover is like fantastic.

She looks so good. She looks beautiful on the cover. The tattoo is cool on her arm. She's like

looking so seductively over her shoulder. Yeah. And I played the shit out of this album. I loved it.
