Summary

We can go three weeks without food, three days without water, but only three minutes without air. If you care about the food you eat, the water you drink, and the personal care products you use, then you should also care about the air you breathe and how air quality affects your health in more ways than you might think! Everything from your immune system, digestive health, skin health, allergies, and even sleep can be influenced by the air we breathe. It can either improve these issues or make them worse. Today, we’re going to discuss how to improve our air quality, even without fancy or expensive solutions. I’m joined by Mike Feldstein, the inventor of Jaspr. Mike previously worked in the mold abatement and fire restoration industry, where he saw a huge lack of options for families trying to live cleaner and healthier lives after being exposed to mold and natural disasters. He set out on a journey to create something that was not only effective but also beautiful, and he is making waves in the hotel and school industries, as well as in our personal homes. It was frustrating because we were charging people, you know, $1,500 to do a deep dive and do all the lab testing at everything.

And almost every time they had poor air and then they had to invest in air filtration.

0:13.1

And most of them would have been so much better off if they skipped doing all the testing and they put the money into the solution instead of the data.

This is one of my probably most favorite episodes because we're talking about not just mold,

0:29.9

but we're talking about the air quality. And definitely that is a way or the way, really,

0:35.2

to accumulate mold in your body. It's really not by what you eat,

0:40.7

but it's by what you breathe in. And I have Mike Feldstein on with me today and we discuss

0:46.9

all the ins and outs of air quality. And if you're one to think this is just kind of a boring

0:52.4

topic, believe me, before the mold situation,

0:56.8

I thought it was pretty boring as well. But if you think about it, I mean, if you care about

1:01.4

the water you drink, if you care about the food that you eat, and if you really are health

1:06.7

conscious and tossing all the toxins in your home, then air quality is truly one of those things

1:14.7

that we need to pay more attention to because it affects not only how we physically feel,

1:20.9

but how we look. It affects skin issues. It can affect our endocrine system. If you have a baby,

1:27.2

a newborn, if you are in the workspace, if you work from home especially.

1:33.0

I mean, who knew that, I mean, just cooking actually toxifies your air, let alone all these other things that we think are perhaps just doing daily.

1:43.8

And they may not even be,

1:46.4

you know, a bad thing. They may not be, quote, toxic, right? Like cooking, it's not necessarily

1:53.0

toxic, but it just, it is what it is. And so we're talking about some ways and tips that we can

1:59.4

help clean our air without purchasing any kind of

2:02.8

air purifier, just some free, helpful things. We also talk about Jasper and how this particular

2:09.7

air purifier is different from all the rest, what to look for, how to really test things. I personally
