This is the Bamboo Podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host Brett Billings. Today we

commence our review of The Chosen, starting with an overview of what the series is and

discussing the first episode.

You got it, Brent Billings? What should we talk about first? Talk about what this thing

is? We're going to find it? Yeah, as far as the production itself, it's a little bit

unusual, I think, so probably worth discussing how it might be distinct from previous biblical

storytelling ventures in the Hollywood realm. Right. So this won't be a production that

you can just go find on Netflix or Hulu or Amazon. They have their own self-contained

app that you can get on mobile devices. I'm assuming access to elsewhere, maybe even

at their site in different ways from a desktop or whatever else, but they're supposedly

the first crowd source funded, crowd funded, almost Kickstarter-esque type, pay it forward

production. So they raise certain amount of money they started producing and now as

people watch it, it's free and they just encourage people to pay it forward, to give money

to support almost like you would like a nonprofit or those kind of things. And they use those

funds to produce more seasons as long as it continues to work that way, which I really

hope so. Number one, my OCD is just not going to handle it if they don't get all the way

through the entire life of Christ. But number two, it's just really, really good. So I hope

everybody keeps chipping in and it keeps spreading around and we get it taken care of. Would

we fund to watch the rest of seasons? Yeah, as we record season one is complete. Season

two is probably done filming. I'm sure they're in the editing process. I think they, by the

time we release this episode, I believe they expected to be out. Pretty sure their plan

is Easter 2021. So by the time you're hearing us talk about this, I believe season two will
