He would make it seem like if I were to hang up the phone he might just go and and kill himself and that it would be my fault.

On today's episode of Strictly Stalking with Lauren who was stocked by her ex-boyfriend.

As the relationship progressed and Lauren moved away from university he started to become more controlling even showing up unannounced at her job.

When she ended the relationship, his stalking escalated. He followed her two and from work daily

and banged on her car windows to scare her. Lauren, thank you for joining us today.

Thanks for having me guys. I really appreciate it.

Why don't you take us back to high school? What was going on in your last couple years of that era for you?

So in my last couple years of high school I would say I was getting ready to like think about

where I wanted to go to university and like what I wanted to do I was still pretty like unsure about where I wanted to go and kind of like what I wanted to do is a career path like I knew I wanted to work with kids, but not necessarily be a teacher per se,

but I wanted to do something in that area and like working with like vulnerable individuals.

So I chose to take an extra year and go back and redo grade 12 again and we call it a victory lap.

And that way I could like up my school average because I'm really competitive in that way with myself and that way I would get more like a better

scholarship offer through like the different universities as well like higher average and they're willing to like you know

but the little bit of like your school tuition at the beginning so long as you keep up your, your average, which is kind of hard to maintain once you get to university but around that time I would say that's when

my stalker and me started communicating a lot more frequently, like via text and in person.

Can you tell us how you were introduced to him?

Yeah, so I've kind of, like this is unorthodox. I don't really know what my life was actually like before my stalker because he was around when I was born actually.

Not to my knowledge obviously as a baby but once I started getting older because

he was the neighbor that lived across the street.
