Summary

After the invasion by Col. Barnwell from South Carolina in 1712.  The Lower Tuscarora have to deal with another colonial force in 1713.  A show down at Fort Neoheroka will be one of the bloodiest massacres in American History.

where we thought the war had finished, but somehow a bunch of Corey Indians got together

for a peace conference and a bunch of them were massacred and hundreds were taken back to South

Carolina as slaves. The problem with that is we don't really know who did it. There's three

different theories. One, it was that sneaky double-crosser, Barnwell from South Carolina, who after giving his

word to not betray them, totally betrayed them. The second choice was Governor Hyde and the North

Carolina government, who it may have been in their best interest to make sure that the war

picked back up again because they wanted to basically eradicate all the Native Americans

from the area,

therefore opening up all this great prime cleared land that people could gobble up and also get his rewards for participating in the war.

And then the third theory is it could have just been third-party slavers

that were just coming through from one of the other states to grab Indians and take them to sell to the West Indies.

The evidence seems to point towards Barnwell, however.
