0:54.6	Automotive news reporting today that California Governor Gavin Newsom plans to introduce a state
1:00.5	EV tax credit if the Republican White House goes ahead with removing the EV subsidies early next year.
1:08.2	In a statement earlier today, Newsom, a prominent Democrat, of course, announced that he
1:13.7	would revive a California program that ended last year. The program aims to provide financial support
1:20.2	to EV buyers as an alternative to the $7,500 federal tax credit, which is being aggressively targeted by the Republicans and
1:30.2	alongside Elon Musk. Now, Newsom's proposed credit would exclude Tesla from eligibility. Elon Musk,
1:37.6	Tesla's CEO and new advisor to the Republican Party leadership reacted strongly. You won't be surprised to hear tweeting. And I quote,
1:47.1	even though Tesla is the only company who manufactures their EVs in California, exclamation mark.
