Rivian announced that they have received conditional approval of a nearly $7 billion loan from the Department of Energy

to build their manufacturing facility in Georgia that was on and then off and is now on again.

And that will enable them to build the R2 and R3 vehicles outside of normal Illinois.

Huge piece of news for Rivian.

Obviously, lots of the fans of Riv, the stock price, as well the investors

going over the moon today about that. Looks like it's one of those things that is being pushed

through by the outgoing administration to get it all signed, sealed, delivered so that that

can't be taken away come January 20th. Volkswagen's Passat gets a new long-range plug-in hybrid power train. This is the

same one that's been rolling out in the VW Group cars, and I'm so excited about it because with almost a

26 kilowatt-hour battery, you will end up doing nearly all of your miles electrically if you bother

to charge it every night. And with plenty of power, nice high speed, electric only,

you'll never really need to touch the combustion engine, wouldn't be for me, but for many people.

That's a great plug-in hybrid power train. Kier are setting a 60-mile electric range target for

their plug-in hybrids, but not for a couple of years, which is surprising because surely

they've got the technology, and we just heard from VW doing 80-90 miles with plug-in hybrid technology.

B.YD just launched the C-Lion 07, as it's going to be called, the C-Lion 7 in Norway.

B-YD now often's seven models in Norway. The Seal U, which is the Song Plus in China, the seal, the dolphin, the tang, the Ato 3 and the Han as well.

The Sea Lion 7 starts about 42,000 US dollars equivalent in Norway, built on BYD's latest, greatest E-platform 3 technology.
