And welcome to episode 26, The French and Indian War, Part 1.

That's right, Andrew.

This is going to be a several-month project for us.

We're looking at about six episodes on this.

And for those of you from other countries, then it's the Seven Years War. Now, I'm assuming you've heard of a gentleman

called Sir Winston Churchill, correct, Caleb? Uh, yeah, he was kind of a big deal over there across

the pond, wasn't he? Well, kind of a big deal on this side of the pond, too, since he was the

first guy ever to be made an honorary American citizen.

His mother was American, too.

Yes, she was.

And among many other things, aside from pretty much saving the world single-handedly during World War II, but he was also a renowned historian.

And when he wrote his history of the English peoples he called this war the

first world war because we're going to see that the events that get started right here in the

Ohio country in North America are going to cause ripples that are going to affect

around the world and almost every single major power in North America, in Europe, in Africa, and South Asia is going to get involved in this war.

It's just going to get out of control. It's amazing. You read about all of the great events in history, and they all have a starting point.

Something small that happens that just kind of pushes

the rock over the hill. And we're going to see that in these backwoods of Ohio, this is going to be
