John Edward Robinson is a con man, grifter, imbezzler, kidnapper, and murderer.

For decades, Robinson ran schemes or flat out stole from his employers for monetary gain,

but eventually escalated to murder.

He would use classified ads to attract victims, but once the internet became commonplace

in American homes, Robinson used it to find victims.

Because of this, the media often refers to Robinson as the internet's first serial killer.
